She has effectively handled business and personal affairs for two of America’s leading actors (Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman), for three years both in the U.S. and overseas.

She successfully launched a global, social networking website for filmmakers www.indieproducer.net with a current subscriber base that reaches 80,000 filmmakers, currently in 111 countries and growing. 700,000 unique hits a month providing education and industry access to new and emerging filmmakers.

Kerry has produced four televised, industry award shows to a sold out audiences honoring veterans of film (Jon Favreau, Bill Paxton, Andy Garcia, and Michael Rappaport).

She has produced eight global Short Film Contests and eight worldwide Screenwriting Contests that resulted in three Oscar nominees and writers & filmmakers securing representation and work.

Viral Marketing & Advertising

Particular success with innovative online web-marketing.  Out of the box thinker with impressive results building online brand awareness, customer loyalty translating into substantial revenue increase.   Most notably with www.indieproducer.net and films such as www.seekinghappilyeverafter.com,  and “My Date with Drew.com” which was an $1,100 documentary film that went on to garner a worldwide, theatrical release that made millions based on building awareness generated from its online presence.  These tools included, but were not limited to contests, promotions, interviews, blogs with talent, guest books, vlogs, constant updates and innovative ideas bringing about an ownership of the project to the site members.

Spent three years working for, and traveling with, Nicole Kidman & Tom Cruise on multiple projects.
 
  • Due to confidentiality terms I cannot go into all of my responsibilities while working with Nicole and Tom.  The films we made during my time with them were: Portrait of a Lady, Peacemaker, Practical Magic, The Blue Room, Without Limits, Mission Impossible: 2 and Eyes Wide Shut.

Business Affairs

  • Spent 2 ½ years learning the contract side of filmmaking and studying the deals that Paramount Pictures made with outside entities such as production companies, A-list writers, A-list directors, A-List actors and producers for their services.  During this period Paramount Pictures made such films as Forest Gump and Sherry Lansing was the Chairwoman.

Kerry David has been a guest speaker, panelist, and moderator at film festivals and film summits all over the world.   She has spoken at colleges, schools and writing groups to encourage and support new and emerging filmmakers.  She is a member of the PGA (Producers Guild of America) and BAFTA (British Academy of Film & Television), and has mentored three women for the Step Up Program in Los Angeles.  Ms. David has won over forty-five awards for producing her film and television projects including a Telly Award for Excellence in Educational Programming.
